Enrolment to the Confirmation Sacrament Program is made by visiting the parish office where your details will be entered for you.

A copy of the child’s Baptism certificate is required as well as the permission of both parents/carers. Candidates need to be Catholic and in Year Five/Six or above.

People normally receive their Sacraments in the Parish where they live.

Confirmation, like Baptism, occurs only once in a person’s life. Confirmation is seen as the sealing of Christianity created in baptism. It is evident from its celebration that the effect of the sacrament of Confirmation is the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit as once granted to the apostles on the day of Pentecost. From this fact, Confirmation brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace.

With the Sacrament of Confirmation, Catholics receive the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith and to witness Christ in every aspect of their lives.
